Jakarta (ANTARA) - The 2026 ANTARA Business Forum brought government officials, business leaders, investors and academics together on Wednesday to discuss Indonesia’s economic growth and competitiveness over the next decade.
ANTARA President Director Benny Siga Butarbutar said the forum aimed to promote dialogue and concrete commitments between the government, state-owned enterprises and private businesses.
Benny said ABF 2026 was intended to foster productive discussions and develop practical commitments to address economic challenges and capitalize on future growth opportunities.
Held in Jakarta under the theme “The Synergy Horizon: Positioning Indonesia for the Next Decade,” the forum examined economic policy, investment, industrial development and economic transformation.
Benny said ANTARA’s nationwide reach and credibility as Indonesia’s national news agency made it a strategic government partner in communicating the country’s development story.
He said providing information on Indonesia’s economic performance and outlook was essential to strengthening confidence among investors and international partners.
Benny urged participants to use the forum as a starting point for practical collaboration that could generate positive economic impacts over the next decade.
The forum featured policymakers including Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara, Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita and Deputy Head of the SOE Agency Tedi Bharata.
Other speakers included Fifi Aleyda Yahya, director general of public communication and media at the Communications and Digital Ministry, and Bagus Rachman, deputy for medium enterprises.
ABF 2026 also featured a panel on Indonesia’s macroeconomic policy toward 2027, with economist Aviliani, macroeconomist Fithra Faisal and Apindo Chairperson Shinta Widjaja Kamdani.
University of Nottingham economist Bagus P. Muljadi was also scheduled to discuss Indonesia’s challenges and opportunities in strengthening its position over the next decade.
The forum was supported by Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), Astra, MIND ID, ANTAM, Antara ETP, Wuling, GoTo, PLN, Bulog, IFG and Fairmont Jakarta.
ABF 2026 is the fourth edition of the forum, following events in 2023, 2024 and 2025, with its discussions evolving alongside changes in Indonesia’s economic and global landscape.
